My HR Club members have received their Zoom workshop schedule for November 2020. We have an interesting line-up of events for November with a variety of subject areas covered by our partners and guest speakers.
What’s on in November?
Wednesday 4th November – BreatheHR Masterclass with Bethan Roles
Bethan’s session is aimed at answering some of the FAQ’s we receive from our members who use the BreatheHR software. She will also be covering some key information you may need as we head into the Christmas and new year period, including:
- Part time annual leave calculations
- Changing working patterns part-way through the year
- Finishing the holiday year in December
- Changing line managers and holiday approvers
- Confirming & approving employee data changes
- Answers to any other current questions you may have – enabling you to fully utilise and get the most out of Breathe
Tuesday 10th November – Motivating and recognising your employees in a new world with James Solomon
Our November partner of the month is James Solomon, Director of Engagement: Global Employee Benefits & Recognition at Xexec. In James’ Zoom workshop we will be exploring:
- Employee benefit strategies fit for the new way in which we all work
- How we maintain value for a remote workforce
- Using Benefits, discounts, reward and recognition as a differentiator
- Quick and easy wins
- The kind of requests Xexec’s concierge team have received
- And more.
Thursday 19th November – Health and wellbeing workshop with Kat Chu
Our monthly health and wellbeing workshop with fourth-generation Chinese doctor and wellbeing expert Kat Chu will be exploring the physical and emotional links caused by stress and anxiety, including:
- Spotting the signs of stress and anxiety
- How to release stress healthily
- Creating strategies to prevent anxiety and stress in your life
- And more.
In this month’s employment law workshop, Rhys will be joined by Oscar Ciaurro as they explore freelancing and the employment law implications for both employing freelancers and conducting freelance work, including:
- What is freelancing? There is a lot of overlap when we talk about freelance work, independent contracting, consultancy and self-employment – what does it all mean?
- What are the benefits of freelancing/consultancy work for both employers and the workers?
- What is the status of a consultant/freelance worker for employment law and tax purposes?
- How do freelance workers’ rights differ to those enjoyed by people who don’t work in an “atypical” role?
- Do freelance workers need a freelancing/consultancy agreement? We’ll also consider some of the ‘pitfalls’ when agreements are entered into.
- And more.
Click the dates above to view more information about each workshop, including join details. Please note you must be a My HR Club member and have logged into the website and ticked ‘remember me’ in order to view more detailed workshop information.
